We left Los Arcos, with great enthusiasm. We restore strength and heat and with a prayer in my heart. The parish priest, Don Carlos , during the Mass of the Pilgrim asked us to bring in Santiago intentions of the Holy Father and his parish. He gave us this prayer of the pilgrim , handed down for centuries by the early pilgrims, who would accompany us throughout the journey.
O God, you brought out your servant Abraham from Ur of the Chaldeans, protecting him in all his wanderings, and that you were driving the jew people through the wilderness, we ask that you keep us We your children, for the sake of your name pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela:
Be for us
partner in the march,
guide in trouble ',
the relief effort,
defense in danger,
hotel on the way,
shade in the heat,
light in darkness',
comfort discouraged,
and firm in your intentions,
why, with your guide, we arrive safely at the end of the Way and enriched with grace and virtue, let us unharmed to our homes, full of health and everlasting happiness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
I meditated all day to Logroño, how this little experience has made me happy and how, from that moment, made me feel "part" of the Way .
The true pilgrimage, one in the Spirit, for me, was started on this day. I felt in my heart all the love that God was giving me for free. I just had to accept it. Everything that God gives, gives it for free, without interest.
He makes the sun rise on the evil and the good,
and sends rain on the just and the unjust. (Matthew 5.45)
